Lea Salonga: First Christmas of A Thousand Years

Tireless world-class performer, recording star and theater artist, Lea Salonga graced the first year of the millennium with several music and stage “firsts”.

Lea’s successive accomplishments started this year by being the trendsetter in recording live concerts with her new year musical performances at the PICC. In August, she was the first artist to receive two simultaneous gold awards for her Lea Live Vol. 1 @ 2 albums. By setting international standards on stage, she led her fellow theater performers to exhibit true Filipino talent in the first Manila stagings of the foreign produced and directed musicals They’re Playing Our Song and the on-going Miss Saigon.

As we look forward in celebrating the first Christmas of a thousand years, Lea surprises us with yet a new milestone in her career. She highlights the year’s end with another delightful “first”…her first Christmas album simply titled Lea Salonga, The Christmas Album.

Lea Salonga, The Christmas Album brings back the brother-sister tandem of Lea and Gerard Salonga. Lea does her own rendition of several all-time Christmas hits such as The Christmas Song, Sana Ngayong Pasko, It’s Just Another New Year’s Eveand Pasko Na Sinta Ko. The CompanY joins her inMerry Christmas Darling and 12 Days of Christmas(also with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra). While ballad-hitmaker Jim Brickman contributes two songs: The Gift, a duet with beau Michael Lee and the carrier single Even Santa Fell In Love.

Celebrate a heart-warming season with Lea Salonga, The Christmas Album, another premium album from BMG Records Pilipinas. Now available in CDs and cassettes everywhere.
